The Diversity Champion – Individual award recognises a person who promotes diversity in the community and/or the workplace. This person is a proactive role model for their community. He or she demonstrates leadership by supporting and engaging others on the journey, highlighting the importance of inclusion, flexibility, equity and diversity through gender, race/ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and/or religion. Individuals are permitted to nominate themselves.

About the Hunter Diversity Awards
The Hunter Diversity Awards is an initiative of the Equal Futures Project – a local group of business leaders dedicated to raising awareness and funds that will facilitate gender equity in the region.
In their fourth year, the awards aim to recognise and celebrate the diversity champions among us, those who have discovered what works in making their organisation and/or community a fairer, more equitable and more successful place to live and work.
ELIGIBILITY AND APPLICATION
To enter the individual champion category, the individual must live and work in the Hunter Region and be over 18 years of age. By submitting this application you acknowledge the individual nominated has permitted application (if submitting on behalf of others).
