Ross Bingham captivated us with stories about the families Ronald McDonald House Northern NSW have helped and supported. Watching the emotion on the faces of the attendees followed by personal experiences was surreal. There are thousands of families made to feel welcome in a great time of need every year.
The organisation strives to provide an atmosphere where the familiar routines of home life can continue as much as possible through stressful and difficult times. Communal areas of the House are as much about sharing journeys as they are about sharing facilities, with families, staff and volunteers providing a caring and supportive environment.
The support and goodwill of the wider community ensures the House continues to make it possible for families to stay together at a time when they need each other the most.
As Ross said, volunteering and corporate social responsibility in general (and volunteering at Ronald McDonald House of course) helps businesses to engage with their employees and stakeholders. The quality and direct impact of corporate volunteer programs is a proven way to increase employee morale, pride and sense of teamwork. It makes a difference within the workplace and engages stakeholders as a result of an organisation’s community involvement and local commitment. Importantly, volunteering is a thoroughly rewarding experience for all involved, including volunteers and members of the families supported by our programs.
Thank you Ross, for your keynote presentation.
We hope you are available for our next luncheon as we are excited to announce Daniel Hayes, a sought-after National Real Estate speaker, who will be telling his story about motivating teams and inspiring rookies. He loves sharing what he did in his first couple of years to beat the competition.
Daniel is tenacious and with a genuine authenticity, he climbed by himself to the top of the Real Estate industry in Victoria in only a 12 month period. His career currently spanning more than a decade has seen him numerous times crowned the “Number 1 Sales Performer” in Victoria.
In 2010 building a team of more than 30 full-time staff, his office sold more than 500 properties for more than a quarter of a billion in property sales, his office was crowned the “Number 1 Office” in the state of Victoria for “Number of sales” for Australia’s Largest Real Estate franchise group.
We look forward to seeing you.
